The Most Common Mistakes
Using hot water, washing too often, piling all hair on top and scrubbing, applying shampoo to the ends, skipping or misapplying conditioner, rubbing hair dry with a rough towel, and not rinsing out product fully.
How to Wash Correctly
Use lukewarm water, massage shampoo into the scalp with fingertips, condition mid-lengths to ends, rinse thoroughly, and blot dry with a soft towel or cotton t-shirt. Wash based on your hair type, not daily by default.
Products & Frequency
Choose sulphate-free shampoo suited to your hair, condition every wash, and use a weekly mask. Oily scalps may wash more often; dry hair less. A professional can recommend your ideal routine.
